Do you already use heating devices powered by renewable energy (pellet stoves, thermo-fireplaces or thermo-stoves)? You may not know that thanks to the installation of a hydraulic interface module, it is possible to improve its performance and save on gas bills.

How to save with hydraulic modules

The hydraulic interfacing modules are integration systems that allow stoves and fireplaces to contribute to the production of hot water, both for domestic heating and for utilities, using the traditional boiler only as long as necessary. In fact, when the biomass source produces sufficient heat, the module disables the boiler and sends hot water to the domestic heating system (to heat other rooms, for example) or to domestic hot water (depending on the model). On the other hand, when the heat produced by the biomass is reduced, the module reactivates the gas boiler.

To learn more about the operation and conditions of use, we invite you to read our article: How to make the most of the heat produced by thermo-fireplaces and pellet stoves thanks to the hydraulic modules

It is therefore evident how the installation of these devices allows to optimize the consumption of the biomass system, standardizing the heat inside the home and allowing significant and sustainable energy savings, without sacrificing comfort.

The IMIT hydraulic modules

IMIT produces a wide range of interface modules, suitable for multiple needs, depending on the type of source and system.

  • Waterwarm: compact hydraulic kit, to be combined with a pellet stove or a thermo fireplace, allows the production of domestic hot water and water for heating (without boiler control).
  • Waterlink WLS4/WTL4: works in combination between a thermo fireplace (or a thermo stove) and a gas boiler. The module disables the gas boiler and sends hot water to the domestic heating system, activating the boiler only when needed.
  • Waterlink WTL6: works in combination between a thermo fireplace (or a thermo stove) and a gas boiler. The module disables the traditional boiler and sends hot water to the domestic heating system. Includes connections for the boiler.
  • Waterpuffer WTP5: works in conjunction with a thermo fireplace or a thermo stove and a gas boiler for home management of heating and domestic hot water, sending hot water to a storage tank.
  • Watercombi WTC7: works in combination between a thermo fireplace (or a thermo stove) and a gas boiler. It can send hot water to the domestic heating system or directly to the user in the event of a request for domestic hot water.

All IMIT hydraulic modules are designed and built internally in our company in Castelletto Sopra Ticino (Italy) and are functionally and hydraulically tested to avoid leaks during installation, tested for grounding through EMC tests and the whole range is ENEC03 certified by IMQ, with the same parameters for gas boilers.

IMIT promotes new technologies of climate comfort, through a series of products dedicated to renewable energies, to guarantee users energy and economic savings and to safeguard our planet. To find out more, browse our site, download our catalogue or preview the instruction manuals for our products for home and office comfort.
